Growlers Grow Beer Business
It is true that Growlers have been around for a while, however they are hot and trendy at the moment so we may as well touch on the topic. Arizona is looking to pass a law to allow restaurants, liquor stores to sell growlers. The idea of being allowed to fill growlers at bars came from Maine, where they have experienced a tremendous growth of beer sales due to this. This means you can sit down, have a meal, and take beer home with you. Sounds like a good idea to me.
Other people like John O’Connell are turning growlers into their business. John and his co-founder are setting up Growler filling stations, and doing well! Growlers are not for everyone, most people only get growlers of beer which is not in bottles, or cans. This is a large amount of beer, and some others may not consume a half-gallon of beer before it starts to lose its flavor and carbonation. But for those who are into the growlers (which is quite a large number) you will soon to never have to travel farther than your nearest grocery store or local bar to fill your growler.
